DOS Driver for Sound Blaster Pro Panasonic CD Drive
With Kodak PhotoCD Capability (in DOS or Windows)
Notes on DOS CD-ROM Device Driver
------------------------------------
This note describes how to use the device driver.
Copy the file SBPCD.SYS into the C:\SBPRO\DRV directory (or the same
location as the previous SBPCD.SYS file).
The following line should be in the CONFIG.SYS file.
DEVICE=C:\SBPRO\DRV\SBPCD.SYS /D:MSCD001 /P:220
Assuming the driver is located in the directory C:\SBPRO\DRV, the /P parameter
is for the I/O port address setting where nnn specified the address number in
hexadecimal. The valid options are 220, 240, 260 and 280 with default
setting is set to 220.
What is needed with the device driver?
You need a Sound Blaster Pro or Sound Blaster 16 ASP card and a Matsushita
CD-ROM drive, model CR-521-xxx. Both the internal and the external drives work
with this device driver.
You will also need a Kodak PhotoCD application. There is a widely available
CD called Kodak PhotoCD Access Program and Photo Sampler.
Thank you for your support.
